FIRA USA 2023 has firmly established itself as the must-attend event for the North American agricultural robotics industry.

With over 1,700 participants coming from 40 US states and 30+ countries in Salinas from September 19 to 21: FIRA USA doubled its figures compared to last year. They all made the journey to visit and experience the must-attend event in ag robotics: FIRA USA 2023. With over 35 robots and autonomous solutions showcasing and 20 in-field demos, farmers, industrials, start-ups, OEMs, scientists and investors made great connections to build together the future of farming.

56 panelists, 12 live sessions, 80 exhibitors… and 1,700 attendees

FIRA USA is the event to get the state of the Ag robotics industries: with 10 main panel discussions, over 50 panelists discussed various topics such as education and career pathways, regulation and safety, ROI of AI in Ag, growers feedback on robot adoption, level of maturity of the machines…

Out of which: Jorge HERAUD - VP Automation at John Deere, Ron OSBORNE - Global Head of Technology for Agriculture at Amazon Web Services, Matthew HOFFMAN - Plant Health Technology Lead at Driscoll's, Jeff MORRISON - Director of Innovation and New Technology at Grimmway Farms…

Particularly small and cost-effective: Market launch of the uEye XLS cameras

Image processing opens up a wide range of possibilities for the automation of modern agriculture - but what to do when only a small budget is available? That is where the uEye XLS comes in. With the launch of these super-small industrial cameras, even price-sensitive applications and volume projects become feasible. Measuring just 29 x 29 x 7 mm, the compact cameras offer excellent imaging characteristics without excessive heat generation, making them a perfect fit for embedded vision applications in agricultural machinery and equipment. The industrial cameras comply with the vision standard and are available with Micro-B connectors and with or without C/CS or S-mount lens holders, further increasing their adaptability to different agricultural environments. Thanks to these features, the cameras offered by IDS Imaging Development Systems lower the barriers to entry and make it easier to explore the potential of vision technology to optimize agricultural processes.
